Nature's Organ
Intro
One of the things that everyone should be aware of is permaculture. Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Shares are the three tenets of permaculture ethics. Our planet has finite resources, which will run out in a matter of days. Therefore, it is crucial that we treat our natural resources with care, just as we do with our bodies.
By doing the research, I found out there are many similarities between the human body and nature. For example, plants can be seen as lungs, stomachs as decomposition, kidneys as filtration, and intestines as underground rivers. With the use of all of this information, I've been focusing on visualizing the interaction between humans and nature and highlighting this organ of nature by using multimedia to raise people's awareness of environmental issues.
Progress
My first idea about Nature’s Organs is simple. By using the pump, people can listen to the changing of the water's sound. When the audience stands in front of this sculpture, they can see how people will trigger the sensor and how the sculpture will do. They will feel that nature is just like organs, they have their own cecuirlation. I hope that this will remind people taking good care of nature.
